圣诞的烦恼

一年一度的圣诞节到了,节日的氛围不仅带来了欢乐,还有过度消费、潜在的骚扰索赔,以及其他令雇主头疼的问题。本月,我们就来探讨一下圣诞节的相关话题:

聚会及酒精饮料

对提供酒精饮料的聚会,雇主需要采取必要的管控措施,让活动的举办符合圣诞节平和欢乐的气氛。例如:聚会期间,提醒员工遵守公司章程及行为守则(包括违规行为所导致的后果);确保聚会现场有管理层以上的人员对员工行为进行监督(且该负责人要时刻保持清醒);确保活动准时开始、结束,且员工能安全地返回家中。

圣诞节的过度消费

圣诞期间,很容易产生过度消费。如果您需要花费大量资金用于回馈客户,该费用必须与公司的盈利业务相关,才可视为合法的业务支出并申报免税。因此,过高的支出可能会引起监管机构的注意,导致免税申请被拒。

若您打算组织客户聚会,邀请他们共进午餐,或参加公司的圣诞聚会,需注意业务招待费不可进行税收抵免。

员工方面,可挑选工作日在公司举办圣诞聚会,以避免相关税收。这样一来,不论人均花费多少,都有可能免除员工福利税。如果在公司以外的场所举办员工圣诞聚会,将人均消费控制在300 澳元以下(含GST),可满足员工福利税的小额福利减免限额。因此,无论是圣诞聚会后的出租车费,还是组织聚会的花费(包括餐饮、娱乐项目等),只要人均花费在300 澳元以下,即可享有员工福利税的减免。但是,雇主将无法使用该项支出申报税收或GST 的减免。员工的圣诞礼物也应该控制在300 澳币(含GST)以内,以确保不产生员工福利税。员工可用某些圣诞礼物申报税收抵免,但申报项目必须不属于娱乐招待的范畴。

节后运转

许多公司会在二月结算商业季度报表。为避免节后现金流出现问题,除控制圣诞节相关的支出外,还需要对公司的财务状况进行良好的整体掌控,包括债务方、股份,及人事费用等
